What the role is
What you will be working on
At LTA, Security and Safety is of paramount importance. We value the safety and health of our staff and the people who work alongside us.
You will be responsible to assist in developing and implementing effective safety and security measures to protect our staff, assets, and visitors. Your primary objective will be to carry out daily safety and security tasks, identify potential risks, implement preventive measures, and establish robust safety/security protocols. You will work closely with various stakeholders to enforce compliance with Workplace Safety & Health regulations, assist in incident investigations, and review corrective actions.
You will be involved in the following:
• Assist in the implementation and review of comprehensive workplace safety and security programs in line with local regulations and industry best practices.
• Conduct regular inspections, review risk assessments, and security audits to identify potential hazards and vulnerabilities.
• Assist in incident investigations to identify root causes, develop corrective actions, and implement preventive measures.
• Coordinate drills and exercises to assess emergency response (including Business Continuity Plan) and identify areas for improvement.
• Stay updated on emerging safety and security technologies, trends, and regulations, and implement relevant updates to enhance standards.
• Review and verify daily & monthly security reports submitted by security contractor and awarding KPI scores for premise security.
• Assist and ensure pre-clearance of visitors and ensure that during major events, parking reservations are performed diligently.
• Attend to ad hoc security related matters on site e.g. security officer attendance checks, visitor screenings, verification on feedbacks made.
• Assist in administrative matters related to security e.g. uploading of security softcopy reports to shared drives, review of CCTV footage for suspicious activities, assisting SPF for CCTV footage retrieval, downloading data from AMS servers etc.
• Attend to breakdowns of equipment, liaise with contractor for replacement/repair and track status of replacement/repair to ensure quick remedy.

What we are looking for
• Diploma/ITE qualification, preferably in Science or Engineering
• At least 3 years of validated experience in workplace safety and health in office/construction projects or in risk management works
• Excellent presentation skills
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
