What the role is
What you will be working on
You strengthen the network architecture to enhance availability, scalability, cross- compatibility, maintenance and security for Operations Support Information Technology (OSIT) devices. You also develop network analytic tools to support decision-making for optimising the management of OSIT networks. In addition, you manage and work with DSTA Project Management Team and external vendor project teams to ensure delivery and roll-out of projects within the approved budget and schedule. Your challenges lie in being familiar with Defence Capability Management processes especially for IT projects and having the relevant qualification and knowledge in IT as well as having to work with different IT Subject Matter Experts across intra and inter-ministry.
What we are looking for
You must have a tertiary qualification in Information Technology or related discipline, or a professional certification in the same area, with at least 6 to 8 years' prior IT project-management experience. Possession of good communication skills, the ability to work independently and communicate across multiple agencies within MINDEF/SAF as well as across Whole-of-Government Ministries and Statutory Boards and the ability to work in a fast- paced environment is essential.
