What the role is

You will be part of a dynamic team that drive transformation of our maritime industry and development of a vibrant maritime innovation ecosystem in Singapore. The Governance & Administration (GA) team supports the division’s overarching objectives as follows:
i. Building up technological capabilities within our local maritime industry in key niche areas;
ii. Building a world-class port and port services that are smarter, safer, more efficient and sustainable; and
iii. Transforming the maritime sector into a highly productive and innovative cluster by leveraging leading-edge technology.

[What you will be working on]

As part of the GA team, your key duties and responsibilities include:

(a) Ensure proper governance of MPA’s Maritime Innovation & Technology (MINT) Fund and relevant R&D/innovation funds;

(b) Develop and review MINT Fund policies, SOP and templates;

(c) Manage MINT fund management system project (development in progress);

(d) Administration and monitoring of MINT Fund, including claims, disbursements and audits;

(e) KPI management, analysis and reporting to board, management and stakeholders;  

(g) Analysis of MINT fund utilisation, effectiveness and risk; Support conference, workshops and industry events

[What we are looking for]

  • Have the relevant training and industry experience in funds governance, funds policy and administration, accounting and/or finance, and procurement.

  • Domain knowledge and experience in maritime and port industry is preferred.

  • Proficiency in MS office (especially MS Excel) and analytics tools, and good applied knowledge of statistical data analytics tools

  • Be an effective communicator and presenter, competent in both spoken and written English, and able to deal with ambiguity and complexity.
