What the role is
What you will be working on
We are looking for a detail-oriented, creative, passionate individual and a team member to strategise, drive and be responsible for planning, managing, engaging of different stakeholders and driving of changes across the organisation to uplift the organisation’s overall readiness in knowledge management. You will play a critical role in ensuring change management in knowledge management and management of the oral history in NCSS.
Knowledge Management
- Strategise and develop the overall NCSS Knowledge Management Strategy
- Oversee overall knowledge management functions and aspirations, including but not limited to oral history, registry, systems etc.
- Conceptualise, plan and execute knowledge management initiatives, proper record management and affiliated system(s).
- Engage, influence and guide staff on proper records management practices and the use of records management related systems for better collaboration and building of institutional knowledge.
- Drive the adoption, readiness, and maturity in organisation’s knowledge management.
- Instruct and provide advice to the nominated representatives from the business units and guide them on the day-to-day knowledge management related matters.
- Create, manage, review and streamline knowledge management SOPs / overall knowledge management plan.
- Plan, create and conduct knowledge management audit to ensure proper documentation and compliance with Instruction Manuals.
NCSS Oral History
- Conceptualise and plan the development and growth of NCSS oral history function and drive the dissemination of these resources within the organisation and sector.
- Manage and oversee NCSS Oral History and guide the staff volunteers in shortlisting, researching on interviewees, establishing the scope of interview to establish the value, feasibility, and viability for oral history.
- Formulate shortlisting of interviewees and follow-up on engagement and arrangements for interview sessions.
- Coordinate and work with Sponsor and consultant to select, prepare interview outlines and questions for target interviewee groups and individuals.
- Advise, supervise, train and/or guide volunteers on oral history.
- Recruit, select and train staff volunteers to ensure the sustainability and viability of oral history function in NCSS.
- Organise work and team to transcribe and summarise recorded interviews in according to guidelines provided by OHC/NAS.
- Conceptualise, plan and design outcome needed towards the final presentation of the project deliverables.
- Perform any other work tasks assigned by Supervisors.
