What the role is

You will be part of a team which oversees postgraduate year one training policy, as well as develop, implement, administer and monitor training and assessment and initiatives for postgraduate year one trainees. You will be working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment that would require the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders at the same time.

What you will be working on

• Developing and overseeing policies relating to training and ensuring their proper implementation; • Developing and overseeing the implementation of training programmes to ensure that programme objectives, quality standards, timelines and budgets are met; • Reviewing progress and performance of programmes, recommend actions for improvement and providing advice to stakeholders on corrective actions in case of misalignment in terms of programme delivery objectives or timelines. This includes analysing and validating various project performance indicators for project refinement; • Organising meetings and managing stakeholders effectively, which includes setting realistic expectations and clarifying roles of all involved parties, managing conflicts, and maintaining appropriate levels of communication; • Developing relationships with stakeholders and working together with them on the quality and timeliness of deliverables; and • Delivering impactful presentations to stakeholders such as the postgraduate year ones, public healthcare cluster leadership and MOH senior management.

What we are looking for

• Candidates with tertiary qualification in healthcare or education-related fields and relevant working experience have an advantage. • Strong interpersonal, networking and communication (verbal and written) skills • Strong analytical thinking and decision-making skills • Meticulous and detail-oriented • Ability to engage internal and external stakeholders • Ability to prioritise work and manage work stress • Ability to work independently and as a team An ideal candidate should possess the following: • Thinking Clearly & Making Sound Judgements – Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities to support the crafting of sound policy recommendations; ability to grasp timelines, operating context and ground realities. • Learning & Putting Skills into Action - Possesses the drive and curiosity to learn and apply new skills, knowledge and new ways of working. • Improving & Innovating – Ability to seek continual improvements, and to innovate and experiment while managing the risks involved. • Working Effectively with Stakeholders – Ability to mobilise and rally partners and stakeholders towards a collective purpose.
