What the role is

The Finance and Facilities Division (FFD) is responsible for the Ministry’s financial matters, procurement management and general administration. FFD promotes proper stewardship of the Ministry’s resources by applying best practices across its various functions. The Procurement Management Unit oversees the Ministry’s procurement function and facilitates proper governance and internal controls through the setting of procurement policy and rendering of procurement advice.

What you will be working on

Brief Description of Job Scope: We are looking for a pro-active and dynamic individual to join the Procurement Management Team. You would provide direction to Divisions for procurement operations and ensure that procurement practices are sound, effective, and aligned with MSF policies and processes. Responsibilities: Reporting to the Procurement Assistant Director, you will be part of a dynamic team that will be involved in the management of the Ministry's procurement. Your primary duties will involve the execution of procurement operations such as calling of quotations and tenders for goods and services requested by the Divisions using the Government Electronic Business System (GeBiz). You will be working with Divisions to develop appropriate procurement approaches to achieve effective procurement as well as provide support and professional procurement advice to ensure compliance with policies and processes. You will also be required to review internal procurement policies, collect and manage procurement data/information and translate them into reports for management reporting.

What we are looking for

Competencies Required: • At least 3 years of relevant work experience • Having procurement experience in the Public Sector and practical experience in GeBiz operations • Collaborative team player • Strong analytical skills • Effective interpersonal and communication skills • Resourceful, pro-active and highly driven individual
