What the role is
What you will be working on
On this, you develop heat-related training programs, track physiological performance, and manage fatigue and jet lag. In addition, you periodise curriculum, monitor training loads, understand and improve Heart Rate Zone (HRZ) training. Your challenge lies in being able to have a deep understanding of the relationship between knowledge, attitudes and behaviour to effectively engage with the Army units to promote optional physical performance and reduce the risk of injuries among soldiers. You must also be able to manage the complexities of working with multiple organisations and stakeholders, balancing diverse demands to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.
What we are looking for
You must have a tertiary qualification in Sport Science, Kinesiology or a related field. Post-graduate specialisation and a current relevant professional certification credentialed by an independent accreditation agency, e.g. Australian Strength and Conditioning Association (ASCA) is preferred. You must have at least 3 years' work-experience in a related field or experience in developing and delivering training program in military or high-performance setting. Having experience working in a multidisciplinary team and teaching experiences is an added advantage. Proficiency in motion analysis software, qualitative and quantitative research analysis is essential. You must be able to work independently with minimal supervision and operate as both a leader and team player.
