As part of the RPG family, the Child Protective Service (CPS) provides statutory intervention and leads in child protection policies and planning to safeguard the safety and well-being of children and young persons in Singapore. What you will be working on

Brief description of Job Scope: You will be part of the team in CPS to plan, manage and review programmes and services in the Child Protection Sector to ensure the safety and well-being of children in Singapore. Your key priorities would be to improve practices of agencies (safe practices and alignment to CPS), understand how CPSCs operate, build better working relationships and build capabilities. Responsibilities You will be reporting to the Assistant Director / Deputy Director in the following areas: 1) Ensure better flow of cases from CPS to CPSCs • Resolve pain points between transfer of cases • To provide day to day support to CPSCs and SSFP workers through case consultation and triage support • To advise and support CPOs on right siting of cases to CPSCs and SSFPs • To provide onsite support to CPSCs and SSFPs for complex cases to support them as well as to model for them to learn 2) Track case related data • To track stats on capacity of CPSC and SSFP • To update shared databases on the cases referred to CPSCs and SSFP • To track the referrals and status of cases including assignment of workers, OHC placements, recurrences and re-escalation of cases and RADAR cases • To track the submission of CI and Recurrence reports for SSFPs • To review and analyse data / statistics of the referral trends to refine practices, case assessments, decision making and / or tighten any gaps identified 3) Competency Building for the CPSCs • To provide coaching and conducting of training and onboarding sessions for CPSCs and SSFPs • To draft replies or coordinate with CPSCs and SSFPs on responding to MP/QSM appeals or complaints 4) Other tasks • To provide secretariat assistance at meetings and monitor follow-ups • To supervise interns • To assist in projects and any other duties assigned where required

What we are looking for

Requirements Technical/ Functional Competencies • Tertiary qualification in Social Work, Psychology or related discipline • Prior experience in working with vulnerable families is an advantage General Competencies • Good interpersonal and communication skills • Good assessment, problem solving and multi-tasking skills • Able to work calmly in highly stressful situations and environment • Be tenacious and resilient • Good analytical and critical thinking abilities • Enjoy teamwork
