This is a 2-year contract position as a Lecturer, Hospitality Management in the School of Business & Accountancy.
[What you wil be working on]
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:
Prepare and update teaching materials and conduct lectures, tutorials and workshops.
Set and mark assignments, quizzes, common tests, term projects and examinations related to the module(s) assigned (both PET and CET) and keep records of student attendance and grades.
Support student learning and development through student consultations, mentoring and overseas trips.
Assume committee portfolio and ad-hoc projects that support the school’s mission.
[What we are looking for]
Pre-requisites:
At least 3 years’ relevant work experience in the Hospitality industry and be familiar with the latest trends and technologies used in the industry.
Demonstrated ability to conduct effective business communications in a professional setting.
A nurturing mindset with passion for working with young adults and mature learners.
Ability to use innovative teaching strategies to motivate learners.
Competent to plan, develop and teach modules in Hospitality Management, Revenue Management and other areas including Sustainability and Tourism Marketing.
Strong IT skills and proficiency in MS Office applications.
