What the role is
What you will be working on
You will be part of a team responsible to uplift mapping data of infrastructure assets to 3D. The primary work involves 2D to 3D GIS data conversion and enrichment, including the use of ancillary data sources (such as trial trench reports, site investigation reports, CAD drawings, 3D point clouds) to improve data quality of legacy infrastructure assets. The secondary job role involves engaging relevant agencies to serve the primary job role.
What we are looking for
Background in Land Surveying, Geomatics Engineering, Remote Sensing, Geospatial, GIS or any equivalent qualifications conferred by a recognised university.
Experience in the use of geospatial software such as ESRI product (ArcGIS Pro, Online, tools) or QGIS is required.
Competent in Geospatial data analysis, network analysis and automation routine using programming languages such as Python or R and data visualisation tools such as PowerBI / Tableau.
Experience in handling utility datasets such as digitising, editing, transforming, interpreting as-built drawings from PDF.
Knowledge of ArcGIS Utility Network; utility modelling (in BIM/CAD); and utility mapping practices, standards and surveying techniques are added advantages.
Good writing, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a passion in the latest surveying, GIS and geospatial technology trends.
