You will lead a team to develop an capability development plan to foster a thriving resilient air traffic management (ATM) ecosystem locally while driving innovation. The role includes overseeing a local development centre (LDC) to be established with key stakeholders, for the successful delivery of CAAS’ next generation air navigation services (ANS) systems.

What the role is
What you will be working on
a. To develop and implement strategies to build and nurture the local ecosystem, focusing on competency development, partnerships and innovation.
b. To lead the establishment and growth of the LDC in collaboration with the selected vendor(s) and local strategic partner(s).
c. To facilitate collaboration among stakeholders within the ecosystem, between CAAS, the vendors and strategic partners to co-deploy and co-develop innovative products.
d. To develop and implement competency development programmes to ensure the technical/engineering personnel in CAAS and LDC are proficient working alongside the vendors.
e. To identify training needs and coordinate with HR and training providers to address skill gaps in CAAS and LDC.
f. To facilitate innovation and knowledge exchange with ecosystem partners to foster collaboration and drive collective growth.
g. To build and maintain strong relationships and partnerships with vendors and strategic partners.
h. To manage and mentor a team of professionals, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration and continuous learning.
i. To ensure high performance and professional growth of team members.
j. To lead and represent CAAS in stakeholders meetings, conferences and industry events.
k. To prepare and present reports to senior management and stakeholders.

What we are looking for
• Trained in aviation engineering or management or related field
• At least 15 years of relevant working experience in the aviation industry with a focus on product development, ecosystem development and partnership management
• Proven track record in leading cross-functional teams and managing complex projects
• Strong understanding of industry trends and technologies
• Excellent leadership and team management skills
• Ability to inspire and motivate team members towards achieving organisation goals
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, and able to communicate effectively with diverse audiences including technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Ability to identify and address issues proactively
• Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills
• Proven experience in building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders
• Ability to travel for overseas trainings, meetings and work assignments if required
Your appointment designation will commensurate with your relevant work experience. Successful candidates will be offered a 3-year contract in the first instance, and may be considered for placement on a permanent tenure or subsequent contract renewal.
