Project Title: How can Singapore better attract or retain suitable migrant domestic workers for aged care
Project Overview:
• Identify the top factors that migrant domestic workers look for when deciding which country to work in.
• Study Singapore’s (a) advantages and (b) disadvantages or constraints in attracting and retaining quality migrant domestic workers for aged care, vis-à-vis other countries
• Study policies and support in place in other countries which may (a) attract and retain quality domestic workers or (b) raise the standard of domestic workers in the provision of aged care. Identify the challenges that these countries face.
• Assess how Singapore fares in the region or globally and recommend areas for improvement or innovation to enhance our standing and attractiveness to potential domestic workers.
