Project Title: Review of International Research on Financial Literacy specific to Youths
Project Overview: Youths today face a significantly different financial landscape as compared to their parents. With rising costs of living amidst an uncertain geopolitical climate, coupled with the increasing accessibility of digital information, fintech products and digital financial services, it has been increasingly more important for youths to have adequate financial knowledge to build a solid foundation and avoid poor financial decisions early on, for their financial success in later years.
For this reason, many academics and private organisations have conducted international research on the importance of financial literacy for youths, including research of educational efforts in various jurisdictions to increase the financial literacy for youths. This project would require the Intern to review international literature and research done on this front, and assess possible learning points to improve financial literacy for youths in Singapore.
