What the role is
What you will be working on
You will be part of the Contracts Team responsible for the procurement, contractual and financial management of an upcoming Rail Project using the New Engineering Contract (NEC) Engineering and Construction Contract (ECC).
As this will be a pilot project, you will help to establish the procurement strategy and process, and ensure that the contract is designed to facilitate effective project management and incentivises timely and cost-effective delivery of the project. You will also ensure that contracts and tenders are administered in accordance with provisions, guidelines and LTA’s financial procedures.
During project implementation stage, your duties include but are not limited to the timely preparation, assessment and recommendation of monthly progress payments, cost estimates, variations, claims, cashflow, etc. You will also have to help set up processes and workflows to enable collaborative and joint management of the project by LTA and the Contractor.
The rightful candidate should be a self starter and team player aligned with the goals of organisation, and constantly strive to deliver quality work within deadlines.

What we are looking for
• Tertiary qualification in Building Construction or Quantity Surveying
• At least 2 years of relevant experience in leading contracts team(s), administering contracts and calling tenders
• Good knowledge of standard conditions of contracts for civil and architectural construction projects with proven track records of completed contracts of similar nature
• Good writing, communication, presentation and negotiation skills
• Those without experience are also welcome to apply
As part of the shortlisting process for the role, you may be required to complete a medical declaration and / or undergo further assessment.
