The mission of the Traffic Police is to enhance the safety of road users through education, engagement, and enforcement, with the vision of making Singapore roads the safest in the world. As an Operations Executive in the Testing and Licensing Branch of Traffic Police, you will play a crucial role in managing driving test operations, driving instructors, liaising with driving schools, and addressing public feedback. You are expected to have a good understanding of the ground situation and propose suitable solutions to ensure operations run smoothly according to prescribed standards. Additionally, you will troubleshoot problems, discuss and propose solutions with supervisors. You will be placed under the Management Executive Scheme.

The Operations Executive is responsible for managing the test centres operations, driving schools and instructors within the prescribed testing regime and standards. This includes managing public feedback, conducting checks on driving and riding tests, supervising the deployment of testers, coordinating the training of contract testers, ensuring optimal manpower resources, and facilitating smooth operations at the test centres. The Operations Executive serves as a subject matter expert for testing standards and requirements for different classes of driving licences, providing sound advice and inputs to the design considerations of training and test routes, and ensuring that training and testing standards for specified classes of licences are met. The role involves managing the work performance of contract testers and driving instructors, ensuring adherence to the stipulated driving test and instructor regime to ensure it meets the required key performance indicators and standards. The Operations Executive is also responsible for collating and reviewing data reports concerning the test centres, driving schools and instructors, providing ground inputs, and facilitating decision making at the management level. You are to be open and adaptable to changes such as work processes, job rotations within the organisation and willing to upgrade your skills to shoulder different job scope and responsibilities arising from the organisational changes in the SPF.

REQUIREMENTS • Any field of study or experience of performing testing-related roles for at least 5 years • Prior knowledge of the operating environment on motorist training and testing will be an added advantage • Proficiency in presentation, spreadsheet, and infographics software will be an added advantage. • People management skills and resource management skills • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in verbal and written forms • Class 2, 3, 4 and/or 5 driving licences holder(s) preferred • Ability to work well in a team, lead in a team, meticulous in planning, and work under pressure and tight deadlines Short-listed candidates will be notified within two weeks after the closing date of applications.
