What the role is
What you will be working on
This includes engaging target audiences on defence, security, and national issues. You also manage the administration of these channels and leading a team of digital engagement strategists and social media producer-presenters for day-to-day operations and audience engagement. In addition, you lead digital engagement campaigns, crisis communication, and incident response efforts, as well as conduct data-driven performance reviews and updates for senior management. Your role also entails designing and implementing changes to the social media strategy, operations, and approaches to ensure effective and engaging content. You serve as a key liaison between internal and external stakeholders and lead benchmarking and horizon scanning efforts to enhance channel performance. Furthermore, you spearhead experimentation with emerging digital media technologies relevant to social media content generation and marketing. Your challenge lies in staying updated on the latest developments in the digital media space, including relevant international and domestic laws, regulations, policies, and guidelines.
What we are looking for
You must have a tertiary qualification in Communications, Social Sciences, or a relevant field, with more than 5 years' relevant working experience. Those with 2 or more years in a supervisory or leadership role would have an advantage. Excellent command of English, strong verbal communication, and attention to detail are necessary. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, along with the ability to think critically and innovatively to develop assessments and recommendations, are essential. Strong leadership and management abilities, as well as good interpersonal skills, are also required. A keen interest in current affairs, military and defence-related matters, and familiarity with MINDEF/SAF and social media platform policies, processes, and guidelines would be a plus.
