Manager (GeoSpace-Sea) [Geographic Information System (GIS)] (2yr contract)
What the role is
What you will be working on
Understanding business needs and processes to propose Geographic Information System (GIS) solutions;
Prototype GIS related solutions by studying requirements, systems flow, data usage and work processes;
Support application software configuration, programming, enhancement and testing based on changing business requirements;
Provide timely support to users to resolve issues surfaced, and recommend solutions that are effective and optimal; and
Exploring new technologies and propose innovative technology solutions to meet business needs.
What we are looking for
Good knowledge and experience with hands-on development in scripting and/or developer languages such as JavaScript, Python, HTML, CSS, .Net framework, JavaScript framework, web mapping framework, web services etc.;
Knowledge and experience with GIS technologies and products;
Knowledge and/or experience with geospatial data analytics and/or advanced geoprocessing is desirable;
Knowledge and/or experience in any of the following area(s) will be an added advantage:
Cloud services;
Extract-Transform-Load (ETL) tools; and
3D modelling.
Able to work independently and as a team, highly motivated and passionate about prototyping, developing geospatial web applications and using geospatial technologies to improve work processes; and
Effective presentation, communication and writing skills.
