CAAS Next Generation Programme Office is looking for a strong, driven, and dynamic engineer candidate to be part of the Open Platform For Air Navigation Services System Integration (OPANS-SI) Section.
You will be part of a multi-disciplinary team managing the integration of systems into the Open Platform for Air Navigation Services (OPANS) and its associated sub-systems, starting from system planning and system design phase to implementation phase and transiting to operations and maintenance phase.

[What will you be working on]
The OPANS-SI is responsible for the integration of Air Navigation Services (ANS) systems, and other similar systems, to OPANS and its associated sub-systems.
In this role, the officer is expected to undertake the following areas of work:
System and Cloud Engineering
- Architect robust and scalable integration solutions.
- Architect robust cloud solutions, to facilitate data exchange between cloud and on-premise systems.
- Model systems to analyse workflows and dataflows between systems and applications, and highlight integration needs.
- Define and implement strategies and technology for seamless integration of data.
- Perform testing and quality assurance on integration solutions, ensuring functionality, performance and reliability.
- Ensure system compliance to CAAS and Government requirements, policies and standards.
Stakeholder Management
- Collaborate with project manager and stakeholders, both internal and external, to understand integration needs and objectives, and define business and technical requirements.
- To support the legacy systems in the provisioning of information services.
[What we are looking for]
- Trained in Computer Science, Engineering, or related disciplines
- Proven experience as an Integration Engineer, with a strong portfolio of IT systems
- At least 5 years of system integration, data engineering or related field.
- Experience with integration and middleware technologies such as AMQP, REST, Protobuf, JSON, XML
- Experience with a variety of databases and ETL tools
- DevOps experience
- Experience in designing, developing, and managing cloud-based infrastructure and applications for data applications.
- Experience in infrastructure/platform technologies including Containerization, Modern CI/CD tools, Data-driven architecture.
- Knowledge in cloud computing platforms such as AWS or Azure. Certification is desirable.
- Familiarity with enterprise integration architectural patterns, data integration tools/techniques.
- Familiarity with network and interface concepts and technology.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Candidates with a background in aviation industry or the equivalent (desirable).
