What the role is

School of Engineering - Lecturer (Electrical & Electronic Engineering)

Are you passionate about sharing of your experiences with youths? We invite you to join Republic Polytechnic as a Lecturer in the School of Engineering. You'll have the chance to inspire and guide RP students through engineering concepts, shaping their educational journey, and preparing them for future success.

What you will be working on

•   Develop curriculum and deliver lessons, primarily in the areas of Electrical and Electronic microelectronics specialisation track, as well as other Engineering disciplines
•   Develop and conduct Continuing Education and Training (CET) for Specialist Diploma and Part-time Diploma
•   Supervise students’ final year projects and internships, and reach out to various stakeholders such as industry partners and universities
•   Take part in academic research projects, R&D/Implementation projects or consultancy to the industry
•   Mentor and motivate students in their learning journey
•   Involve in school activities such as service learning, outreach events, student overseas trips and similar activities
•   Undertake other administrative work related to the programme and student development activities

What we are looking for

•   Qualification in Electrical / Electronic Engineering or related discipline
•   Relevant industry experience in the electronics sector and cleanroom environment
•   Proficient in developing curriculum and delivering lessons related to
- Integrated Analog and Digital Circuit Design
- Semiconductor Fabrication, Process and Characterisation
- Semiconductor Risk, Reliability, Failure Analysis and Yield Management
- Integrated Circuit Design Layout
- all other Engineering discipline modules

•   Experience in few of the domain areas:
- Semiconductor process and Characterisation, Embedded Systems and Connectivity, Augmented Reality & Virtual Reality (AR, VR), Artificial Intelligence (AI), Robotics & Automation and Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV)
•   Preferably equip with experience using Minitab, Cadence, Arduino, C/C++, LabVIEW, MATLAB, Python, or Raspberry Pi.
•   Genuine passion to share knowledge and interact with youths, with strong communication and interpersonal skills
•   Ability to work independently and as a team player
