What the role is

Responsibilities:

  • Develop/review policies to close the digital divide, including identifying target segments, creating programme proposals and implementation plans.

  • Manage and review programmes and projects to equip low-income families with Internet connectivity and infocomm devices. Liaise with stakeholders, partners and vendors of such programmes and projects.

  • Build relationships with key partners in the public, people and private sectors to achieve DAI objectives.

  • Evaluate grant requests and carry out due diligence of claims from grantees.

  • Manage vendors to ensure they meet contractual obligations and deliver good customer experience.

  • Research the technology landscape and other governments’ policies addressing the digital divide, and identify emerging trends and best practices.

  • Evaluate and respond to appeals and other requests from members of the public.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in business/management or information technology/accounting

  • Good communication skills (both oral and written)

  • Experience with data analysis and research

  • Experience with budgeting and good familiarity with using spreadsheets

  • Passion for social causes

  • Good people skills

  • Experience with socio-economic policies and project management preferred
