What the role is
What you will be working on
The job scope will include but not limited to the following:
- Supporting the strategic development, implementation and review of MSS’s international and regional engagements masterplan
- Provide support for regional capacity development programmes in the meteorological and climate science domains
- Identifies possible initiatives and topics to forge collaborative partnership and cooperation arrangements with strategic partners
- Supporting MSS’s hosting of events, meetings and visits from strategic partners
- Support Management’s involvement at regional and international meetings
What we are looking for
The job might be for you if you possess the following:
- Sound understanding of foreign diplomacy, processes and dynamics in bilateral and multilateral settings, with preferably 2 years of experience in international relations
- Detail oriented, with strong planning and organisational skills
- Good team player that takes the initiative with tasks
- Self-motivated and committed to a high standard of service delivery
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Mature, independent and resourceful
- Work well under pressure and able to adhere to tight deadlines
