[What the role is]
The Aviation Industry Division seeks to support the development and transformation of Singapore’s air hub, to ensure its continued growth and competitiveness.
[What you will be working on]
As part of the Sector Development team in the Aviation Industry Division, you will be actively involved in industry transformation efforts for the air transport sector, with a focus on the airport and ground handling sub-sectors.
You will work with key stakeholders comprise of the airport operator, airlines, ground handlers and partner government agencies, to support the sustainable growth of airport and ground handling operations, through innovations and harnessing technology. Building on new concept of operations and process redesign, leading to improvements in operational efficiency, labour productivity and sustainability. You will formulate new grant programmes to support sector transformation and innovative initiatives, galvanise stakeholders to accelerate adoption of technology and leverage on digitalisation, AI, robotics and automation to overcome our constraints and reimagine aviation.
You will also work on policy reviews to support the sector’s sustainable growth as needed, including working with partner agencies and other divisions in CAAS on issues ranging from land allocation, cost competitiveness, safety and security requirements for new operational processes.
You will need good interpersonal skills to forge consensus among different stakeholders, as well as conviction and energy to push boundaries and encourage change.
Your appointment designation will commensurate with your experience.
[What we are look for]
• Trained in any business or engineering related discipline with at least 3 years of related working experience in operations management, business or technology development.
• Self-motivated, driven, resourceful, a good team player and able to multi-task
• Excellent verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills to persuade and build consensus among stakeholders
• Strong conceptual and analytical skills, to develop and execute transformation programmes
• Strong quantitative skills and good financial knowledge with an eye for details
Successful candidates will be offered a 3-year contract in the first instance, and may be considered for placement on a permanent tenure in subsequent renewal.
