What the role is
What you will be working on
1. Be involved in the development and taking-over of new building facilities with respect to testing & commissioning of M&E systems, collation of building & system defects, inspection of rectification works as well as ensuring post-construction documentation (such as asset list, operational & maintenance manuals, system / product warranties, as-built documents / drawings, etc) are updated / submitted promptly and filed systematically.
2. Prepare documents & drawings for the procurement of contracts & services for Facilities Management (FM), Building & M&E Maintenance, Upgrading / Retrofitting Work (including drafting of specifications, calling of tenders/ quotations, evaluation and award recommendations).
3. Oversee the daily operations, periodic inspections and maintenance of building infrastructural systems and facilities
4. Manage and oversee the FM Contractor(s)/sub-contractors to ensure performance efficacy and quality standards are achieved.
5. Conduct preventive & corrective maintenance audits and implement measures for environmental sustainability, automation, innovation and digitalisation.
6. Manage rectification work, additions & alternations (A&A) and interior fit-out projects (from conceptualisation, budgeting, execution and completion) within approved objectives, timeline and budget.
7. Identify potential issues/ areas for improvement to enhance facilities operations, building maintenance standards and efficiency and propose viable solutions/ suggestions.
8.Track & update inventory of building assets.
9. Coordinate and handle users’ requests & feedbacks and to ensure timely updates/ closure with the users.
10. Maintain good records / archives of all work & contractual correspondence.
What we are looking for
1. Have a recognized Tertiary qualification in Building, Facilities Management, Engineering or equivalent competencies.
2. Have at least 8 years working experience in facilities and project management (e.g. retro-fitting / A&A work) for commercial / institutional / healthcare / hospitality facilities.
3. Be familiar with Public Sector procurement procedures and contracts administration.
4. Be a team player with strong analytical skills and is able to multi-task, work independently and collaboratively with stakeholders.
5. Be self- motivated, proactive, resourceful and has a keen eye for details.
6. Have good interpersonal, communication and organisational skills.
7. Be adept at administrative work, project and maintenance information management.
8. Be competent in the use of MS Office (Words, Excel, Powerpoint, etc), Tele-Conferencing Tools (MS Teams, Skype) and Sharepoint.
9. Preferably be competent in the use of Auto-Cad and Building Information Modelling (BIM).
