The Animal & Veterinary Service (AVS), a cluster of NParks, safeguards the health and welfare of animals through comprehensive and integrated programmes and works closely with partners in the veterinary and animal-related industries to strengthen capacities and enhance competencies in animal health and welfare. It is the main touch-point on animal and veterinary matters in Singapore and the first responder for all animal-related feedback. It also conducts public education and engagement programmes to foster a society where pet owners, communities, and animals co-exist in our City in Nature.

What the role is
What you will be working on
You will be part of the Compliance Management Branch under the Industry Standards and Regulatory Division, coordinating and implementing inspection, surveillance, and enforcement activities related to the regulation of the animal sectors in Singapore. The functions of Compliance Management are as follows:
- Assist with planning and execution of work items related to implementation of cat licensing framework
- Compliance check on animal businesses in Singapore, such as pet breeders/boarders, pet shops, and etc.
- Carry out investigation and enforcement work related to animal businesses. Enforcement duties may include taking statements, seizure of specimens, and other enforcement actions
- Assist with review of licensing conditions related to licensed animal businesses
- Address enquiries and feedback related to licensed animal businesses
- Management of technological projects for process improvement
- Support other cross-team animal health and welfare related work
What we are looking for
- Degree in Veterinary Science or related fields.
- Previous experience working in animal or veterinary related industry will be an advantage.
- Team player with initiative, drive and good interpersonal/communication skills (verbal and written) and able to work independently.
- Able to use Microsoft Office (e.g. Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and learn new in-house computer systems/applications.
- Able to work outdoor.
