What the role is
What you will be working on
On this, you support the development of psychological defence strategies and interventions. You also conduct applied research and various psychology support tasks, including selection and assessment, organisational diagnosis, psychological preparation, and consultation for Army commanders. In addition, you partner with Defence Psychologists (Psychological Health) for your assigned units. Your challenge lies in having and contextualising the relevant subject matter expertise for many types of units with diverse needs, supported by a good knowledge of the spectrum of operations undertaken by our Army.
What we are looking for
You must have a tertiary qualification, preferably with a Postgraduate tertiary qualification in Psychology. You must be independent to handle the varied and challenging work. You must understand the demands of Army operations to add value effectively. Possession of strong interpersonal skills is essential to establish solid partnerships with commanders. Appointment will be commensurate with your experience.
