Deputy Director (Safety Digitalisation)

What the role is

You are responsible for spearheading and driving safety digitalisation development through policy, education, and governance.

What you will be working on

On this, you work with various agencies to realise and sustain the goal of ""Digital to the Core"" in the safety domain. You develop digitalisation communication and strategy, implement SAF Safety Data Architecture, and lead SAF efforts in AI experimentation for safety. In addition, you incorporate digitalisation training into the Safety community to enhance safety appointment holders' basic level of data literacy, while internal staff will be trained to advanced levels. Lastly, you coordinate and lead the Community of Practice (COP) to share and learn experience to raise SAF's data quotient. Your challenge lies in developing SAF-wide plans and strategies. The varied operating context will require you to develop data collection strategies that apply to all four Services while meeting their operational demands. You will also need to keep abreast of the latest tools for digitalisation.

What we are looking for

You must have a tertiary qualification in Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or any related field, with at least 10 years' relevant experience in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence, and managing projects with multiple stakeholders and trade-offs. Possession of a strong command of written and spoken English is essential. Having related qualifications or proficiency in digitalisation and coding is advantageous.
