What the role is
What you will be working on
As an AEOI officer, you are responsible to:
- Handle AEOI matters relating to Singapore’s implementation of the US Financial Account Tax Compliance Act (FATCA) and the International Common Reporting Standard (CRS), end-to-end from policy to operations
- Formulate and implement Singapore’s AEOI policies in collaboration with other divisions in IRAS and/or governmental agencies
- Promote voluntary compliance of Singapore financial institutions (FIs) with FATCA and CRS, by developing strategies, performing risk assessments, conducting audits and providing service to assist FIs to comply with their obligations
- Participate in bilateral/multilateral international meetings on EOI matters
- Review work processes and leverage analytics, design and digitalisation to transform these processes
- Participate in the division’s projects and initiatives
What we are looking for

- Resourceful, independent and motivated
- Good communication (both verbal and written) skills
- Structured or professional training, preferably in Accountancy, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Law or Data Analytics
- Some knowledge of tax and work experience relating to CRS and FATCA compliance, IT (e.g. managing ICT systems), compliance and controls (e.g. audit and investigation), data analytics, design and/or digitalisation will be an advantage
- May occasionally have to travel overseas for official purposes or attend virtual international meetings outside of standard working hours (usually in the evenings)
