About EDB

About SGN
The Singapore Global Network (SGN) is a division under EDB and focuses on building a strong ecosystem of overseas family, friends and fans of Singapore. This includes growing a network of individuals whose skills, affinity and influence could strengthen Singapore’s business and talent ecosystem, along with enhancing international mindshare of Singapore as a vibrant global hub in Asia.

The Network and Partnership Development team is responsible for driving in-market efforts and partnerships to grow and engage SGN’s global networks. The global team comprises officers who develop and execute strategies either from the Singapore office or one of SGN’s overseas offices.

What you will be working on

You will work closely with colleagues in EDB and across government, as well as in-market partners ranging from industry to community organisations to develop and execute market development strategies for our overseas activities. You may be considered for an overseas posting.

Your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Executing strategies to grow and engage SGN’s network of members in your assigned region through a range of online/offline initiatives. This includes designing and delivering one-to-one and one-to-many engagements.

  • Identifying, developing and maintaining a network of corporate / community partners who can achieve SGN’s business outcomes.

  • Evaluating sponsorship and partnership opportunities to determine their relevance and potential value to SGN’s mission and goals.

  • Continuously monitoring and evaluating partnership performance to ensure alignment with SGN’s objectives.

  • Collaborating with other EDB divisions and Singapore Government agencies to develop and execute projects to harness SGN’s network.

  • Monitoring ground sentiments, identifying opportunities and preparing insights to inform SGN’s strategies and support the national agenda.

What we are looking for

  • A university degree in any discipline with 3-5 years of working experience in marketing, international relations or community building. Relevant overseas working experiences will be a bonus.

  • Strong interest in current affairs and knowledge of latest developments in Singapore and trending global issues.

  • Enthusiastic about building and nurturing relationships, and managing stakeholders.

  • Energetic, sociable, empathetic and comfortable engaging a cross-cultural audience.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, in both written and spoken English. Additional language skills (e.g. Mandarin, Bahasa Melayu, etc.) would be a bonus.

  • Exceptional organisational and project management skills, able to manage multiple complex projects concurrently.

  • Highly adaptable, able to work independently and in cross-functional teams.

  • Detail-oriented with accuracy of delivery.

  • Ability to travel overseas for work.

  • Singaporean.
