Essential Job Functions
The Assistant Manager, Exhibitions, is responsible for the development of multiple Permanent and Temporary Exhibitions. The role covers research, content scoping and project management to deliver meaningful and engaging exhibition experiences for Science Centre’s visitors. The role involves supervision of junior staff comprising imagineers and producers.
Key Responsibilities
Conceptualize and implement exhibition experiences, encompassing content scoping, ideation, timeline and budget management, project oversight, script development, and stakeholder management to ensure successful and timely project delivery within budget.
Conduct post-project reviews, collaborate with department heads to assess impact, employ formative and summative methodologies, communicate risks to the team, and work on risk mitigation.
Organize cross-departmental events to foster engagement, ensuring smooth operations, and promoting high performance and well-being is a key aspect of the role. This includes organizing talks, forums, and competitions, providing training, conducting check-ins with staff, and promoting organizational culture.
Requirements
The ideal candidate should have a Degree in Science or its equivalent, along with a strong understanding or experience in scientific principles and/or research, science communication and project management. Experience in museum interpretive studies is an added advantage.

He/She should possess a self-driven and creative nature, along with strong organizational and communication skills. Additionally, he/she should demonstrate a keen aesthetic and/or design sense, a genuine passion for science, and the ability to effectively translate concepts into engaging experiences.
