What the role is
What you will be working on
We are looking for a committed individual to support routine operations for large-scale production of male Wolbachia-Aedes mosquitoes. Training will be provided. The outcomes are expected to contribute towards improving public health
What we are looking for
The job might be for you if you possess the following qualities:
- Able to systematically perform routine workflow correctly with an eye for details
- Able to handle mosquitoes of different life stages (e.g. larvae and pupae)
- Able to work after office-hours, weekends and public holidays, on occasions
- Self-driven and able to work independently and as a team in a fast-paced working environment
- Physically fit to perform manual work
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Experience working in a laboratory or insectary setting will be advantageous
