What the role is
What you will be working on
The officer will be part of a focused and professional team responsible for the delivery of customer-centric corporate services within the Ministry. Specifically, the officer may be required to work on one or more of the following areas:
PA
• Scheduling of meetings/events.
• Managing calendars, emails and phone calls.
• Making official work trip arrangements.
• Organising events for the department or be part of a committee to organise events for the Ministry.
• Maintaining records and filing systems.
Corporate Services
• Manage the on and off-boarding of staff in areas relating to workspace planning and allocation and ensuring new staff is work-ready on first day and outgoing staff has a smooth transition out (including proper return of all issued items).
• Co-ordinate the production/programming of office/laptop access cards for new staff, replacement/change for existing staff and deactivation/return for outgoing staff.
• Manage staff season-parking requirements and liaise with building management for billing.
• Manage and carry out ad-hoc procurement to meet staff needs, including activities such as preparation of procurement proposals and liaising with vendors etc.
• Assist in the telecom claims for staff, including review and verification of staff claims.
• Administration of official travel arrangement; and providing advice and guidance to staff on travel policies and processes.
• Assist in general office administration and support services for the smooth running of the Ministry’s offices.
General
• Collate returns/requests from other government agencies if needed
• Develop and produce collateral to support publicity and internal comms efforts
• Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time by the Principal, Division Director or Section Head.
What we are looking for
The officer should be a Singapore citizen with some relevant working experience. The officer should possess good interpersonal, organisational, written and communication skills. The officer is expected to be an independent worker with strong computer literacy and good initiative, as well as a meticulous, self-motivated, resourceful and committed team player.

The ministry also oversees the operation of the Transport Safety Investigation Bureau (TSIB).
