The Rehabilitation and Protection Group (RPG) provides services for the rehabilitation of adult and juvenile offenders and the protection of children and families. What the role is
What you will be working on
You will assist to develop and implement public education plans for:
a) Rehabilitation and Protection Group (RPG), which provides services for the rehabilitation of adult and youth offenders and the protection of children and families
b) National Council on Problem Gambling (NCPG), whose mandate is to prevent problem gambling in Singapore
You will work closely with multiple internal stakeholders and central communications team to plan and develop communications content. You will also help to procure and coordinate media campaigns, social media presence, website communications and public relations pitches with professional agencies.
You must have basic data visualisation skills and be able to plan communications research and interpret data meaningfully for communications planning. In addition, you are expected to provide support in crafting good written communications materials as well as prepare/front presentations to MSF senior management, the NCPG Council as well as other government agencies on a regular basis.
What we are looking for
Education and Experience
• Tertiary education in Marketing, Communications or related disciplines, with three years of relevant working experience.
• Experience in ministry/statutory board communications work would be an advantage.
Functional Competencies
• Data Analytics and Research – Scope and manage communications research projects, analyse and present insights to stakeholders
• Message framing and delivery – work with colleagues across different divisions to gather data for meaningful message.
• Content creation and curation – Develop narratives for different target audiences, customise strategies for different communications platforms including digital/social media, evaluate campaign effectiveness and glean insights for content development
• Media relations – draft media replies, propose media angles, source for suitable interview profiles to support announcements/pitches
