The Sungei Buloh Nature Park Network (SBNPN) was announced in 2020, expanding to three times the original size of Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve. SBNPN consists of Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve (SBWR), Kranji Marshes, Kranji Coast Nature Park, Lim Chu Kang Nature Park and Mandai Mangrove and Mudflat Nature Park (MMMNP).
Bird migration study has been conducted at Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve since the 1990’s, while tracking of long-distance migrants has been conducted at Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve since 2014. These efforts have generated many years’ worth of ringing and migration data. This data helps in supporting the effective management of the reserve.
