What the role is
What you will be working on
On this, you design and implement research to identify performance barriers specific to the Naval context and validate the effectiveness of possible interventions. Based on the research findings, you work with relevant stakeholders to integrate and proliferate the validated interventions into policy, training and operational systems. As the subject matter expert for performance psychology with the service, you are expected to keep abreast with the developments that are relevant to the Navy. You will horizon scan for innovative solutions to address performance issues and seek to collaborate with other ministries, academic institutions and professional agencies to advance the practice of performance psychology within the service.
What we are looking for
You must have a postgraduate degree in Psychology, with at least 6 years' relevant experience. Knowledge and experience in applied research and psychological skills program development is essential. You should be independent, forward looking and be passionate about growing the practice of psychology in the Republic of Singapore Navy (RSN). You should possess strong research and statistical skills, as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact professionally with internal and external stakeholders.
