What the role is
What you will be working on
The Challenge
The Leadership Innovation Cluster drives innovation in leadership and talent development at the Public Service level, to achieve the following key outcomes:

Effective and high-performing leaders and leadership teams that deliver with excellence today and innovate to be future-ready
•
A Public Service leadership corps with diverse experiences, skillsets, and perspectives
•
One Public Service leadership with a common purpose, identity, and values
We incorporate leadership science and data-driven practices in leadership development, from identification of emerging leaders to the development of senior public service leaders. We work in close partnership with the Civil Service College and the HR community and leaders across the Public Service.
Learning Areas
Our #PeoplePurposePossibilities internship will provide valuable exposure to how the Public Service incorporates leadership science and data-driven practices in leadership development, offering a unique opportunity for you to contribute and learn first-hand on the development and use of data products and insights in a HR setting. You will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience as a consulting-practitioner through the following:
Leadership Science – You will learn how leadership competencies and concepts are leveraged to support leadership development policies, processes and decisions.
Data Analytics – You will learn the end-to-end data workflow process including data cleaning, transformation, analysis and visualization to uncover insights to inform leadership development policies, processes and decisions.
What we are looking for
We are looking for self-motivated individuals who are considering a career in HR and have a dare-to-try attitude to forge ahead to achieve outcomes. If you share our passion in shaping Singapore’s future with a first-class Public Service, we welcome you to join us as a PPP intern. Key Competencies Required An ideal candidate should possess the following:
• [Scripting] Experience in Python/R programming languages. Ability to apply programming concepts (e.g., variables, data types, conditionals, loops and functions) to write code and troubleshoot errors.
• [Data Analytics and Insights] Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen interest in leveraging data to drive decision-making.
• [Thinking Clearly and Making Sound Judgements] Dare to work with ambiguity, and propose ways to sense-make, and propose sound solutions for the business.
• [Working Effectively with Stakeholders] Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. You should possess good written and oral communication skills.
