What the role is

NParks is the national authority for plant health for Singapore and a signatory of the International Plant Protection Convention to protect international trade from plant pests. The role of the Executive/Administration is to provide administrative support for phytosanitary certification and import regulation to facilitate trade of plants and plant products.

What you will be working on

Administrative Support for Phytosanitary Certification
•    To review and process electronic application for phytosanitary certification, including handling enquiries on application, requests for changes after application and other enquiries
•    To print the approved phytosanitary certificates for collection by customers

Collation of Reports & Customer Enquiries
•    To collate reports i.e., financial, transactions records, daily summary of inspection fee for premise and office inspection
•    To handle telephone/email enquiries on any matters related to phytosanitary regulation for trade

Administrative Support for Issuance of Import Permit
•    To review and process import permit applications for commercial trade via TradeNet system 

What we are looking for

•    Diploma in Horticultural Science, Life Science, Biological Sciences or related fields preferred
•    Able to write and communicate well in English; conversant in at least one other language or dialect
•    Pleasant personality with passion to deliver excellent customer service 
•    Good communication and interpersonal skills
•    Self-motivated, able to multi-task, work with minimal supervision and a team player
•    Has a positive attitude and is able to thrive in a challenging environment
•    Knowledge of MS Office applications
