What the role is

We are seeking a dynamic and innovative individual to join the Emergency Planning and Risk Management (EPRM) Branch at NPARKS as a Manager/Senior Manager. In this individual contributor role, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing operational risks, incident reporting, crisis management, and emergency planning committees at both NPARKS and Whole-of-Government (WOG) levels. You will have the opportunity to bring fresh perspectives and innovative approaches, and to enhance our emergency planning and risk management capabilities.

What you will be working on

  • Collaborate with risk owners and leads to review and update operational risks, including SOPs, and plan and conduct exercises and drills

  • Support senior management in crisis management, including crisis management team (CMT) activation, operations coordination, and incident reporting

  • Participate in and contribute to various crisis planning committees at NPARKS and WOG levels

  • Lead key projects related to emergency planning and risk management, including the exploration of in-house crisis management applications

  • Handle administrative matters such as procurement and budget management for the EPRM branch

  • Serve as a secretariat for operational risk committees and provide support during CMT activations

  • Work with external agencies to develop innovative toolkits and strategies for risk management

What we are looking for

  • A can-do attitude with a strong willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges

  • Ability to think innovatively and integrate technology, including AI, into emergency planning and risk management processes

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders

  • Experience in emergency planning, risk management, or a related field is advantageous but not mandatory

  • Certifications in emergency management or risk management will be an advantage
