What the role is
What you will be working on
- Coordinate and direct research and collection efforts with information agencies across MINDEF/SAF and Whole-of-Government (WOG)
- Lead dedicated research and analysis on various networks, nodes of influence, and audience groups in the online environment
- Develop and curate information, directing subordinate analysts for daily research and investigation of information issues
- Oversee information monitoring activities
- Collaborate with agencies to analyse media reports and internet forums/blogs
- Develop bespoke solutions and tools for information research and analysis
Challenge(s)
- Extracting key insights from information research
- Prioritising work tasks effectively
- Communicating guidance clearly to unite staff with varying levels of experience and expertise
- Interpreting ongoing developments and conversations in the information environment and combining qualitative analyses with technical knowledge
What we are looking for
- Education in Mass Communications or Social Sciences (e.g., Political Science, International Relations, Psychology, Economics)
- At least 10 years of working experience
- Prior experience in communications-related or research role is preferred
- Good writing, analytical and leadership skills
- Ability to work effectively under time pressure
- Flexibility and adaptability to changes
- Excellent collaboration and teamwork skills with various stakeholders across agencies
