What the role is

You will be part of the Human Capital Management Directorate under the People & Organisation Group which focuses on developing people and organisational capabilities. As strategic partners to our Directorates and AGD officers, we aim to build a performance driven workforce that is future ready and agile. We work closely with senior management to nurture an engaged workforce that is motivated and passionate with One Public Service mindset to transform the public sector through finance.

What you will be working on

You will be involved in a broad suite of HR functions which include the following: • Be part of the in-house specialist team that shapes the Total Rewards and manpower policies in line with AGD’s overall talent attraction and retention strategy. • Analyse, review and recommend changes (where relevant) to the Rewards & Recognition framework for our officers. This includes undertaking salary benchmarking exercises and scheme reviews to ensure competitiveness and relevance of our schemes. • Design and manage the implementation of changes to policies, initiatives and processes (where relevant) across Total Rewards as well as playing a role in the design of Compensation & Benefits components. • Partner and engage AGD’s management, line managers, and employees in Total Rewards, including matters related to manpower expenditure. • Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll and leave administration. • Develop expertise in the use of HR systems including ensuring the accuracy of HR records and managing system enhancements and upgrades. • Support other HR duties, as required.

What we are looking for

Requirements: Functional/Technical Competencies • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resource, Psychology, Business Administration, or related disciplines. • Prior HR experience in the public sector and familiarity with Civil Service policies and guidelines will be an advantage. • Candidates with no experience are welcome to apply. • Proficiency in MS Office applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
