What the role is
What you will be working on
You will support DOS’ office relocation and renovation which includes the preparation of tender invitations, evaluation, and award of contracts for goods and services required for renovation and relocation to the new office and the re-instatement of current office. Tracking project timeline and budget allocated for the office renovation and work with the appointed contractors during the renovation in identifying and rectifying defects. You will support the logistics team for the planning, preparation and actual physical move from existing to new office. Preparing of the disposal of obsolete and redundant assets prior to the office relocation and tagging of assets at the new office premises after the move. Also, you will assist in renewing the BizSafe and Greenmark accreditations for the new office.
What we are looking for
1. Possess knowledge in Building, Facilities Management, Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or equivalent competencies. Experience in Government Procurement and/or relevant experience in facilities management would be an added advantage.
2. Able to read and understand building plans and M&E drawings.
3. Meticulous with an eye for details, and work effectively under pressure.
4. A self-starter who can work well independently and, in a team.
5. Able to think critically with good problem solving skills.
6. Good interpersonal skills who is comfortable in communicating with internal and external stakeholders at different levels to achieve win-win scenarios.
