What the role is
What you will be working on
You will be part of a transformative Finance team overseeing the revenue collection and account receivables function while driving process improvement within the team using automation and cutting-edge technology.
Your key role is to lead the account receivables team in the daily finance operations involving the reimbursement of operating grants from the government, the billing and accounting of contractual fees, charges and deposits and the recovery of cost of works and services performed for external parties, to achieve prompt and accurate accounting in accordance with the Statutory Board Financial Reporting Standards and other relevant policies and regulations. You will work closely with stakeholders to understand their business requirements and support them in daily receivable operations and other project activities, including providing financial inputs on contract and tender specifications, reviewing business requirements and revenue reporting.
In addition, you will also be responsible to oversee the division’s financial system enhancement activities and projects. You will participate in project meetings with stakeholders, lead the team to provide user story and requirements, co-create and understand technical solutions, prepare and review test plans and scenarios, oversee user acceptance tests and resolve any post-implementation issues.
Other key aspects of your role are to attend to auditors and liaise with them to close audit issues, review and maintain Standard Operating Procedures/User guides and provide guidance to your team members.
Finally, you will also lead holistic reviews of our current processes and identify opportunities for process improvement to achieve greater operational efficiency.

What we are looking for
• Tertiary qualification in Accountancy or equivalent professional qualifications
• At least 10 years of relevant working experience, with minimally 5 years of managerial experience in leading teams.
• Able to work independently and perform well under pressure and tight deadlines
• Highly driven individual who is meticulous, analytical, innovative and resourceful
• Good teamwork and interpersonal skills, with ability to interact across different stakeholder groups
• Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills
• Experience in SAP financial system and good knowledge of GST will be an advantage
