What the role is
What you will be working on
The officer will be part of a dynamic team that works to develop Singapore’s legal services sector.
The officer will support the Division’s international partnerships efforts. This includes researching and monitoring developments in key jurisdictions, assessing overseas market opportunities, formulating and implementing legal cooperation policies and initiatives, engaging foreign government and key stakeholders, and promoting Singapore’s legal services.
The officer will need to work closely with other divisions within MinLaw as well as with other government agencies, institutions, law practices, law schools and businesses, to identify and create opportunities to support the growth of Singapore’s legal services sector.
In addition, the officer will have the opportunity to work on other areas within the Legal Industry Division.

*Work Experience / Personal Traits*
• At least 2 years’ experience in international relations and/or establishing partnerships with overseas counterparts.
• Highly motivated, with a strong sense of initiative, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong analytical, planning and organisational skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills, with ability to engage people at all levels and work effectively both as an individual contributor and in a team setting.
• Strong communication skills, with proficiency in more than one language for both spoken and written communications.
Broad interest and knowledge of the legal industry, and internship or work experience overseas (in the legal sector or otherwise) would be useful.
Successful candidates will be offered a 1-year contract in the first instance.
