Senior Officer / Officer Projects Conservation (CL): Pulau Ubin - Contract

What the role is

You will be part of the team based at Pulau Ubin, where you will play a crucial role in managing the island's infrastructure, services, and community relations through meaningful engagement with our kampung villagers and community partners.

What you will be working on

- Conduct house visits to understand villagers’ needs and address municipal issues

- Coordinate with government agencies to facilitate nation-wide initiatives for the Pulau Ubin community

- Develop and implement community programmes with community partners for villagers

- Manage Temporary Occupational Licenses and Tenancy Agreements

- Maintain data records and reports for community engagement activities

What we are looking for

- Background in Social Sciences, Community Development, Communications, Public Relations, or related field.

- Experience in driving and enhancing engagement programmes, with skills in public outreach, stakeholder management, facilitation and engagement

- Possess good interpersonal and communication skills to interact with various stakeholders

- To effectively communicate with Pulau Ubin villagers during home visits, proficiency in Mandarin/Malay/local dialects is essential

- Enjoy working in an outdoor environment

- Willing to work after office hours, on weekends and public holidays when required

Only shortlisted candidates will be notified. Successful candidate will be offered a 11-month employment contract.
