What the role is

The incumbent will support the Finance team by assisting in the full spectrum of accounting functions, process procurement approvals, process staff claims and assist in the timely preparation of month-end closing reports and schedules. This role is a 12 months contract job.

What you will be working on

  • Managing a spectrum of finance-related activities that include payment processing and tax computations
  • Manage other finance functions, such as revenue and receipt process, fixed asset management and management reporting
  • Assist in timely month-end closing and settlements, which include preparation of schedules
  • Prepare and consolidate ad-hoc returns to other government entities etc
  • Review and propose improvements to streamline existing processes
  • Provide advice and guidance to department users on proper compliance to financial regulations and policies
  • Support system enhancement and policies review where necessary
  • Undertake ad-hoc duties/projects assigned from time to time

What we are looking for

  • Some knowledge of financial reporting standards for statutory boards (SB-FRS)
  • Ability to handle data analysis, financial management, financial reporting and financial closing and stakeholder engagement 
  • Independent, meticulous and comfortable working with voluminous data
  • Ability to multi-task and work well under tight deadlines
  • Analytical, resourceful, energetic, proactive, results-oriented team player with strong customer orientation
  • Positive attitude towards learning
  • Fresh graduates are welcome to apply
