What the role is

The job role reports to Team Lead. The candidate will be required to perform the following key tasks and any other tasks as assigned by his/her supervisor(s):

What you will be working on

- Use human-centred design methods such as UX audits, design research, journey mapping etc to identify experience gaps with existing digital products and touchpoints - Produce UX design recommendations and UI enhancements to close experience gaps and improve SSG’s digital services Iterate recommendations and enhancements based on user and business stakeholder feedback - Work with contracted vendors to deliver changes and enhancements - Conduct usability testing when necessary

What we are looking for

- Enjoys problem solving and able to clearly articulate point of view - Fresh graduates are welcome to apply. Candidates with more experience may be considered for a more senior position. - Proficient in UI tools such as Figma - Prior experience in building design systems is a plus - Strong writing skill is a plus - Basic experience in software engineering will be an added advantage - Interest or knowledge in AI, machine learning or algorithms is a plus - A team player and committed to work assigned - Can work well under pressure and given timelines - This is a 2-year contract position - There will be a design challenge assigned to shortlisted candidates Applicants without the required qualification but possess the relevant work experience are welcome to apply. The successful candidate will be offered a 2-year contract in the first instance and may be considered for an extension or be placed on a permanent tenure, subject to availability of permanent headcount.

About SkillsFuture Singapore

SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG) is a statutory board under the Ministry of Education (MOE). It will drive and coordinate the implementation of the national SkillsFuture movement, promote a culture and holistic system of lifelong learning through the pursuit of skills mastery, and strengthen the ecosystem of quality education and training in Singapore. SSG will strengthen the adult training infrastructure by taking on all existing functions of the Committee for Private Education (CPE) and guide the Institute for Adult Learning (IAL) to enhance the capabilities and professionalism of adult educators. SSG will play a key role in the quality assurance for private education institutions and adult training centres. Together with educational institutions and training partners, SSG will ensure that students and working adults have access to high quality, industry-relevant training throughout life. SSG will also bring together synergies in continuing education and training (CET) and pre-employment training (PET), so skills requirements will continue to meet the demands of different sectors of the economy.
