What the role is
You will be part of the Waste Residues Treatment Branch of IPDD1, in charge of planning, managing and implementing infrastructure projects to treat waste residues and will also be involved in other projects handled by the Department. You will be required to work closely with various stakeholders in the government & private sectors.
What you will be working on
You will be responsible for the following:
Plan, manage and co-ordinate projects to dispose/use waste residues such as incineration ashes and non-incinerable waste
Plan, request and manage funding for waste infrastructure projects
Manage and supervise the construction of waste treatment infrastructure to process waste residues
Explore innovative technologies to convert waste residues into useful products for use as e.g. reclamation fill materials
Work with other project teams in the Department on redevelopment of old landfills and other waste residue projects
Liaise and work with other Departments and Divisions on solid waste management projects
Carry out cost benefit analysis for the projects.
What we are looking for

Tertiary qualification in Civil, Electrical, Mechanical or Environmental Engineering
3-5 years of experience in infrastructure project management would be advantageous
Able to work independently

Meticulous with a good eye for details
Self-motivated, resourceful, organised and able to multi-task
