What the role is

We are seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join the Ministry of Trade and Industry as an Executive. The Futures, Strategy and Plans Division (FSPD) oversees the prudent use of budget and manpower resources to support Singapore's economic proposals and programmes.

What you will be working on

(a) You will be part of a team that manages the MTI White Space funding to resource projects that target unforeseen and new economic opportunities. (b) You will be involved in evaluating and prioritising economic proposals from across the MTI statutory boards. (c) You will be supporting the Future Economy Planning Office (FEPO), which sits within FSPD, supporting DPM and Chairman of the Future Economy Advisory Panel Heng Swee Keat. The Office is responsible for the planning of the economic agenda and through engagements with C-suite private sector leaders, chart the path for future economic growth. (d) You will also double-hat at the Enterprise Development Division to provide support in the following areas: (i) Pro-Enterprise Panel (PEP) • Track and monitor case updates/resolution outcomes on regulatory feedback received. • Analyse regulatory feedback data to identify systemic regulatory issues for review. • Support the PEP team in inter-agency meetings (e.g. Inter-Ministerial Committee for Pro-Enterprise Rules Review) and industry engagements (e.g. IMC POH engagements). (ii) Enterprise Policy (EntPol) • Support in Trade Associations & Chambers (TAC) Engagements (prepping/compiling briefs and Talking Points (TPs), attending engagements and providing staffing support to the POHs). (iii) Competition & Consumer Protection (C&CP) • Support for Industry Consultation Efforts, in particular the Consumer Protection Review Panel and the Unit Pricing Workgroup (liaising with stakeholders to pull together the meeting timings/venue, compiling of agenda, notetaking).

You should have: • Good interpersonal and communication skills. • Good writing and data management skills. • A keen eye for detail and is highly meticulous in all that you do.
