About Blood Services at HSA
We secure the nation’s blood supply by ensuring a safe and adequate blood supply for public and private hospitals.

The Senior/ Executive/ Assistant Manager plays a pivotal role in supporting the Corporate Functions of the Division and working on operational work processes focused on efficiency and quality standards of all non-clinical support requirements within blood collection centres. This will require working closely with a team of executives to meet the administrative demands of the Division. The individual will be required to actively participate and support operational work processes to ensure these demands are successfully achieved by the Division in a timely manner.

The Senior/ Executive/ Assistant Manager will be able to successfully achieve outcomes by working closely with relevant internal/ external stakeholders, and blood collection support teams across centres.

This position also requires the incumbent to be on duty at different blood collection centres when the need arises. The incumbent will also have to work during the weekends and may be required to work afternoon shifts.

What you will be working on

Key Accountabilities

  • Collaborate routinely with Nurse Managers, Centre Managers, Assistant Director, Blood Resources for operations matters
  • Lead operational administration, supporting in Division-level procurement, GRO or AO responsibilities, IT systems, registration, projects, statistics, and data analytics
  • Manage Facilities and Workplace Safety for Collection Centres
  • Drive Centre-level Reporting, Donors’ Engagement and Retention
  • Oversee Asset Management, Budget Planning & Centre-level Procurement.
  • Ensure workplace efficiency, quality, and safety standards (non-nursing) are met
  • Provide Operations Resource Planning Support for Centres
  • Manage Centre-level procurement, staff roster planning, budget planning, asset management, workplace safety management, Centre security, and Data management
  • Prepare periodic statistics & performance reports

What we are looking for

Job Requirements

  • Qualifications in Business Administration & Management with a minimum of 2 years relevant working experience in a similar scope
  • Familiarity in Procurement, Administrative duties, and Data Analytics work highly preferred
  • Previous experience working closely in operations teams in Healthcare, Community Services, or Hospitality would be advantageous
  • Strong skills and ability to meet deadlines, take initiative, and make decisions in a team setting
  • Proficiency in MS Office and good with numbers
  • This position requires the incumbent to be on duty at different blood collection centres when the need arises. The incumbent will also have to work during the weekends and may be required to work afternoon shifts.

Our blood banks operate 6 days a week*, between 9am – 8pm*
(Operating days/hours vary based on location).
