What the role is

The Maritime Intelligence Analyst plays a vital role in supporting the Integrated Operations Hub (IOH) by collecting, analysing, and transforming data from various sources into actionable intelligence. This role involves leveraging multidomain information—such as satellite imagery, drone data, and other sensors—to support comprehensive situational awareness and maritime operations planning.

What you will be working on

  • Data Collection and Analysis: Gather and analyse data from multidomain sources, including sensors, satellite imagery, and drone operations, to provide a complete and accurate picture of the maritime environment.

  • Actionable Intelligence Development: Transform complex data into actionable insights that support MPA’s operational planning, resource allocation, and incident response efforts.

  • Support for Maritime Traffic Management: Collaborate with the Lead and Operations Group to enhance navigational safety and security through real-time data analysis, identifying trends, risks, and anomalies in vessel traffic.

  • Incident Response Assistance: Contribute to rapid and coordinated incident management by providing timely data insights and analytics, helping to minimize impact and support recovery efforts.

  • Regulatory Compliance Monitoring: Assist in monitoring compliance with maritime safety regulations by analysing relevant data, supporting the Operations Group in upholding regulatory standards and operational integrity.

  • Predictive Analytics for Forward Planning: Utilize predictive analytics and digital twin technology to anticipate potential operational risks and optimize vessel scheduling, port operations, and resource allocation.

What we are looking for

  • Background in maritime studies, data science, operations management, or a related field.

  • At least 5-7 years of experience in maritime operations, port management, or a related field, with at least 3 years in a leadership or supervisory role.

  • Proven experience in maritime traffic management, situational awareness, and incident response.

  • Experience with data analysis, particularly in transforming complex data from various sources into actionable insights for operational planning.

  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance requirements in the maritime sector, including safety standards and environmental protection regulations.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including the Operations Group.

  • Candidate must be willing to work on rotating shifts.

  • Successful candidates will be offered a contract in the first instance and may be considered for an extension or be placed on a permanent appointment.
