What the role is
What you will be working on
The key work responsibilities include (i) conducting field surveys, secondary research of various sites as well as data analysis, (ii) working with agencies to carry out required environmental studies. The successful applicants will be expected to undertake project management for relevant terrestrial conservation projects and will require to work closely with stakeholders to achieve NParks' conservation goals.
What we are looking for
Degree in Life Sciences, Biological Sciences, Ecology, Environmental Science or a related discipline
Organized and resourceful team player who is also able to work independently
Able to undertake fieldwork frequently and independently under varied conditions
Possess good writing, interpersonal and communication skills
Preferably with relevant experience in conducting terrestrial surveys for mammals and birds, deploying camera traps/audio recorders
Experience and knowledge in environmental management, procurement, data analysis, coding or Geographic Information System (GIS) will be advantageous
Possession of a Class 3 driving license will be an advantage
Only shortlisted candidates will be notified. The successful candidate will be offered a 2-year contract.
